Q2 Young Professionals Network Meeting – Mentorship
Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm CST
In today’s competitive, challenging and rapidly evolving landscape, the role of mentorship in career development cannot be overstated. This session is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively mentor and be mentored in a professional setting. Participants will learn the importance of mentorship in career development and organizational success, as well as how to establish and maintain effective mentor-mentee relationships. The session will cover a range of topics including communication and active listening skills, goal setting, feedback and coaching techniques. Participants will also explore the role of emotional intelligence in mentorship. Through interactive exercises, case studies, and group discussions, participants will have the opportunity to develop practical mentoring skills and strategies that can be applied in their own workplace. By the end of the session, participants will have a deeper understanding of the value of mentorship and the tools needed to create a positive and impactful mentoring experience for themselves and others.
