ACUMA and Its Members Raise $20,000 to Support the Bollinger Foundation

Las Vegas, NV– In 2024, the American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA) partnered with the Washington, D.C.- based Bollinger Foundation to provide financial and educational support to children who have lost one or both parents while working in the public and affordable housing sectors.

After ACUMA members, who oversee mortgage operations at credit unions across the country, raised $10,000, ACUMA matched the funds dollar for dollar, bringing the total contribution to $20,000. The contribution was announced at this year’s ACUMA Make Your Mark Annual Conference at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

During a general session, ACUMA President Peter Benjamin highlighted the Foundation’s work providing grants to qualified recipients. The grants help families meet their financial and educational needs. Benjamin also encouraged conference attendees to support the Foundation through donations during the event.

“Many of us are fortunate to have grown up with the support of both parents, and it’s difficult to imagine the challenges a family faces when that support is suddenly lost. Through the Bollinger Foundation, we can help provide children with the financial and educational resources they need to move forward. I encourage everyone in the ACUMA community to give what they can and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families who need our support,” Benjamin said.
