ACUMA Seeks New Volunteer Board Member to Serve on Its Board of Directors
CU and CUSO Candidates from Member Organizations are Urged to Apply
MIDDLETON, Wis. – The American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA) seeks a Volunteer Board Member. The new candidate will join the association’s governing Board of Directors, which provides guidance to ACUMA on how best to serve its growing membership. The Volunteer Board Member will provide guidance for the non-profit association.
ABOUT ACUMA AND ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ACUMA is a non-profit association dedicated to advancing mortgage lending opportunities and practices within credit unions. The ACUMA Board of Directors sets the association’s governance and provides guidance to the ACUMA President.
Board members each serve three-year terms, staggered to maintain experience and continuity while gaining access to new ideas and guidance. The board has nine (9) members, one of which will now be the new board member position. The board members are volunteers who strongly desire to give back to the credit union industry and receive no compensation for their time and services.
Officers of the Board (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary) are selected by the entire board at the Organizational Meeting following the Annual Business Meeting of the membership, normally held in conjunction with ACUMA’s Make Your Mark Annual Conference. The Associate Board Member will be unable to vote on the officer positions.
Each board member’s time and service commitment include virtual meetings/conference calls as needed and two in-person meetings each year, including a planning session and the Organizational Meeting as part of the Make Your Mark Annual Conference. In addition, Board members may also serve on standing or ad-hoc committees.
If selected, the Associate Board Member would begin a three-year term starting in October 2024 at the Make Your Mark Annual Conference.
